Sport, action, adventure and a lot of fun is what the downhill-mad cyclists will find in the new edition of the Vallnord 4X Snow ATB by BEST on February 23rd 2008.
Cold weather doesn’t stop you from enjoying outdoor activities. For all those who are restless and love sport, Ocisport is already preparing the VALLNORD 4X Snow ATB by BEST, the competition that offers the 4X Snow ATB to all those who love downhill and the show from on top of a mountain bike. That’s why and with the aim of getting maximum participation to suit everyone, the Vallnord 4x Snow ATB by BEST has decided to create two categories of independent 4X, Pro and Open, which will be held on February 23rd 2008.
In the timed downhill, the 16 best riders will be decided for each category (Pro and Open) who will qualify for the first round of 4X. From then on it gets very exciting since only the first 2 to cross the line will qualify for the next round and the others will be knocked out.
SCHEDULE:
9:00 h. – Collection of numbers
9:30 h. - Training
10:30 h. – Timed individual downhill
12:00 h. – VALLNORD 4X Snow ATB by BEST
13:30 h. – Award ceremony
PRIZES:
Open Category:
- The 4 finalists will receive a summer season pass for the VALLNORD Bike Park.
- All the participants will receive a day pass for the VALLNORD Bike Park. As an extra this year, all the participants will be entered in a draw to win a weekend at a hotel to attend the NISSAN UCI 2008 ATB World Cup presented by Shimano.
PRO Category:
- 1,200 euros in cash prizes (€ 600, € 300, € 200 and € 100)
- The 4 finalists will receive a summer season pass for the VALLNORD Bike Park.

The number of entrants is limited to 150 participants.
Requisites to enter the PRO category: participants must be over 16 and have a cycling competition licence.
The OPEN category is open to all those over 14 years of age who do not have a cycling competition licence. These participants will have to process their insurance when they register.
The registration fee is 15 euros.
